About the Product
Meganest® is the local anesthetic from Laboratorios Clarben based on Articaine, characterized by its short onset and good diffusion. Its high lipid solubility and protein binding produce good anesthetic action combined with low systemic toxicity, allowing it to be used in reduced doses.
Two concentrations for two clinical scenarios
- Meganest® 1:100,000, indicated for dental procedures lasting more than one hour, especially in soft and bone tissue where more pronounced ischemia is required.
- Meganest® 1:200,000, indicated for most dental procedures lasting less than 45 minutes.
Clarben quality and safety
Like the rest of the range, Meganest® is manufactured with terminal sterilization, contains no parabens (a frequent cause of allergic reactions) and its cartridges are latex-free, with a self-adhesive film and a steam-sealed non-rotating aluminum cap.
Meganest® with epinephrine 1:100,000, indicated for dental procedures lasting more than 1 hour, especially in soft and bone tissue.
Applications
Local and regional anesthesia in dental procedures, in adults, adolescents and children over 4 years (or from 20 kg body weight); preferred for more complex procedures requiring pronounced hemostasis.
Technical Specifications
Each ml contains Articaine hydrochloride 40 mg and Epinephrine 0.01 mg, sodium chloride, sodium metabisulfite and citric acid. Onset of 1-3 minutes; pulpal duration of 45-75 minutes and soft tissue duration of 120-360 minutes. Presentation: 50 x 1.8 ml glass cartridges.
Instructions for Use
Healthy adult (65 kg): 6 cartridges. Children 20 to 30 kg: 1.5 ml. Children 30 to 45 kg: 2 ml.
