Social progress is built on mutual support among organizations. It has always been this way—and even more so during these difficult times brought on by the current pandemic—the work of social foundations enables people without resources to access health care and ensures that international solidarity projects can move forward.
This is the case of the Luis Séiquer Social Dentistry Foundation (F.O.S.), a nonprofit organization dedicated to charitable and educational initiatives in the field of oral health. They have been active for more than 10 years, carrying out projects both nationally and internationally and providing care to thousands of people in charitable clinics.
Solidarity Alliance for Oral Health
Its commendable goal is to provide oral health care to disadvantaged segments of society and improve their quality of life. In addition, one of its pillars is the educational component. Composed of faculty members from the University of Seville, the organization supports university dental volunteer programs.
Its major project is the Madrid Solidarity Dental Clinic, a pioneering center in the Community, where there are many social inequalities. The goal is to provide dental, socio-educational, and preventive services in the area of oral health, and the clinic will coordinate with a network of associations and organizations—both private and public—that operate in Madrid’s neighborhoods.
Upon learning about the history and commendable work of this foundation, Laboratorios Clarben wanted to lend a hand by donating the highest-quality dental anesthetics to be used by compassionate professionals, helping to improve the oral health of the most vulnerable communities that the FOS Luis Séiquer serves.
