About the Product
Octocolagen® is the pure pharmaceutical hemostatic sponge from Laboratorios Clarben, made from 100% lyophilized porcine collagen (gelatin). It is a multifunctional product with hemostatic and healing action, fully resorbable by the body.
How does it work?
On contact with bleeding, Octocolagen® absorbs 40 to 50 times its own weight in whole blood, promoting clot formation and stabilization while acting as a scaffold for new tissue.

Applications
Dental surgery, thanks to its strong hemostatic and healing power; also in oral surgery (extractions, apicoectomies) and maxillofacial surgery, to achieve immediate hemostasis in patients at risk of bleeding.

Instructions for Use
Remove the sponge from its package using sterile technique and cut it to the desired size. Apply a piece, dry or saturated with sterile isotonic saline, pressing directly onto the bleeding site with moderate pressure until hemostasis is achieved. Use new pieces for additional applications if necessary.
Required Information
Class III Medical Device. Sterile single-use product, not resterilizable; discard unused contents after opening the package; avoid excessive application, especially in bone cavities; store in its original package in a clean, dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C.
