  • Reduces breakage during mechanical preparation.
  • Helps chelate calcium salts.
  • Easily reaches the narrow apical area.
  • Antibacterial

Applications

Chemical and mechanical preparation of root canals: cleaning, softening and enlargement of the dentin walls, and enlargement of calcified root canals.

Technical Specifications

Range of 17% EDTA solutions for root canal cleaning and instrumentation, available as a gel with 10% carbamide peroxide (Edta Plus, 2 x 3 ml syringes and 6 application tips) and as a neutral-pH solution (Edta Solution, 50 ml bottle).

Benefits

Lubricates the root canal and chelates calcium salts, easing the penetration of endodontic instruments; helps clean the canal through its effervescent action with sodium hypochlorite.

Instructions for Use

Directions vary by presentation: as a gel (Edta Plus), apply at the canal orifice or on the instrument to be used, ream the canal and rinse with water after irrigating with sodium hypochlorite; as a solution (Edta Solution), fill the canal with the solution using a syringe and irrigate, enlarging with files.
