About the Product
Octacid® is the 37% phosphoric acid from Laboratorios Clarben, thixotropic and with an optimal viscosity that prevents it from spreading onto the tooth or exposed tissue. Laboratorios Clarben offers the widest range of etchants on the market.
Uses
- Cleaning away plaque, calculus or any debris on the teeth.
- Surface preparation before restorations.
- Fluoride treatments.
- Reshaping, finishing and polishing of the surface after restoration.
Performance
It dissolves plaque and calculus layers, leaving the dentinal tubules open, and etches dentin and enamel in 15 to 20 seconds. It rinses off completely and easily with water, leaving no residue. Available in blue and green.

Acid etching of dentin, enamel and glass ionomer cement: direct pulp capping, filling of wide canals and tooth cleansing.

Instructions for Use
Use of a rubber dam is recommended. Prepare and thoroughly dry the surface (clean with oil-free prophylaxis paste if necessary). Attach the applicator tip to the syringe, gently push the plunger and apply the etchant over the entire surface. Leave for 15 seconds on dentin and 30 seconds on enamel. Rinse with water and air-dry before applying the adhesive (e.g. Octobond).
